World War I shooter, Verdun, has been delayed on Xbox One just before its imminent release. Announced in a thread on the game’s Steam forum, no specific reason for the delay, nor a new release date, were given.
“In order to deliver you a true trench warfare experience we need a little more time,” the explanation reads. “We take our releases seriously and for this reason made a difficult decision to delay the Xbox One release.” Verdun is also scheduled to release on the PlayStation 4 tomorrow, August 30th, which is the same date the Xbox One version was slated for.
Verdun has been available on Steam since 2015, and holds a “Very Positive” rating across over 15,000 user reviews. The multiplayer first-person shooter puts players into the infamous trenches of the first World War, where some of the most grueling combat of the conflict took place.
